5 Ways Retailers Can Upgrade Their Facebook Presence

Are you making the most out of your Facebook presence? Great company pages receive tons of engagement which translate into leads and customers. Let’s take a look at how you can take your Facebook marketing to the next level.

None of the ideas below rely on Facebook Ads. Just recently, there has been a lot of talk around the value of using Facebook Ads to earn “likes” for your page. While the debate plays out, we can look at ways to grow your Facebook presence without relying on ads.

1. Upgrade Your Photos

What kind of photos does your Facebook page use? Do you always share great photos? You will be surprised how great looking photos can make your page appear more professional. You can see the Shopify page below:

Their cover image has a clear explanation of what they do and it looks great. The whole page gives you a great feeling of what kind of company Shopify is.

You could change that cover image on a regular basis to images where your products are being used. Could you show customers using your products in every day situations? How powerful would it be to have this as the cover image to your Facebook page?

2. Use Tabs for Direct Call to Actions

Another thing that you see right away is the tabs section underneath the cover image. Usually companies use these tabs to link to their photos, a map with their location and other random stuff. You should change these tabs to something more meaningful. Are you running a promotion? Add it as a tab so its one of the first things people see.

3. Win Awards through Community Efforts

Applying for award competitions can be a great way to showcase your company and tell the world of the awesome things that you’re working on. Why not get your Facebook fans involved in the voting process? This can be a great way to engage your customers and help them feel like they are part of the family.

4. Show Off Your Team

Do you have team? Most companies do. Showcase them on your Facebook page. People don’t just want to hear about your products or services. They want to connect with the people behind your company.

You could interview individual people within your company and showcase one in the cover image every month. There are tons of ways in which you can showcase your employees while giving your Facebook fans a chance to get to know you.

5. Do Giveways Properly

You could also do some giveways. This has been really popular with other Facebook pages but most companies get them wrong. They give away an iPad even though it has nothing to do with their business.

Give away something that you customers would love to win, such as major coupon code for one of your most popular products, or perhaps a product bundle. You don’t want to attract random people to your giveaway.

In what other ways could you create a community through your Facebook page?
