Our writers contribute articles adhering to the following guidelines:
1. Retail-Focused
Content must be angled toward online retailers and fit into one categories/subcategories in the site navigation menu above. (If you feel there’s a category we’re missing, contact us to suggest another.)
2. Commentary or Educational
Content should either be educational with “how to” tips and tactics, or commentary on industry news or trends. We tolerate no explicit sales/marketing persuasion for your business in the article itself. We reserve the right to edit content and remove any promotional links before publication.
Every writer is given an “author box” which displays at the article conclusion. Links are permitted in this section which typically includes content such as your bio, company background, and a single offer.
While a strong case can be made that exposure on eCommerce Insiders is more than adequate compensation, as a new site we want to reward our early writers for their commitment to our growth. As such, we’ve chosen to pay for high quality, exclusive, original content according to the following schedule:
We pay writers once per month for the preceding month’s published articles. Articles that don’t meet our editorial guidelines of retail-focused, high quality, exclusive, original content will be rejected without pay.
